I know I’m being super trendy here, but I love my Chinese herbs. Label me an obsessed Sun Potion fangirl, I collect these golden wrapped jars like I collect sunscreen. When we travel I go without and by the time we’re heading home I feel unbalanced, sluggish… just off. Of course, there are other factors at play but I really do feel these make a difference in my health.
I’ve been incorporating herbs into my daily routine since the beginning of the year, starting out with Moon Juice and gradually switching over to Sun Potion. Moon Juice is good, but Sun Potion is great. Both brands take sourcing seriously, however, Sun Potion is the leader of the pack and their pricing is on par with their quality while Moon Juice is more affordable. If I need to watch my budget I would go with Moon Juice, however, I do notice a difference between the two products. In my experience, Sun Potion is a more potent product.

lemme show you how I indulge in Sun Potion tonics
When I asked you guys if you were curious about my teas the response was an overwhelming yes! Sun Potion, Moon Juice, and other herbal companies are trending in the wellness world. It doesn’t have to be daunting, it’s actually really easy to add a few herbs to your routine!
I enjoy my herbs two ways: sprinkled into smoothies or brewed into a tea.
One thing to remember when enjoying your herbs, you need a healthy fat to aid in absorption. MCT oil, butter, and ghee are all great options. Even Pearl Butter can be used! Usually, I’ll use MCT oil in my smoothies and ghee in my teas, it’s all personal preference.
You can make your tea without a fancy marshmallow, just know it won’t be sweet, which is how I usually make my teas. I add Smash Mallow when I’m indulgent! The raw cocoa gives it an unsweetened hot chocolate vibe. It’s perfect either way!
Sometimes I like mixing more than a couple herbs in, when that happens I decrease the dose to 1/4 teaspoon per herb.
It’s incredibly easy: grab a saucepan on low-medium heat, toss everything but your marshmallow in, and whisk until ingredients are thoroughly dissolved. Your tea will be ready within 5-7 minutes, time to enjoy!
1 cup Califia Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Smash Mallow cinnamon churro marshmallow
1 tbsp raw cocoa powder
1/2 tsp Sun Potion He Shou Wu
1/2 tsp Sun Potion Astragalus
1/4 tsp 4th & Heart vanilla bean ghee
1/4 tsp cinnamon
