A Sensitive Skin Love Affair with Purlisse

Sensitive skin can be high maintenance, the product hunt tiresome. Maybe you’re consistently sensitive to the same products, or your skin is indecisive and just FREAKS OUT like that one friend when she’s had one too many. I get it, my skin seems to randomly decide when it’s had enough. Cue Purlisse and sensitive faces rejoicing!

Purlisse was created with sensitive gals in mind, combining Asian and modern beauty ideology. If your skin tends to be finicky check out the Blue Lotus collection! Check the ingredients for any of your personal problem starters before purchasing, like plant oils, silicones, etc. Rosacea, acne, prone to redness or irritated skin, this line is right up your alley.

My sensitive skin love affair with Purlisse begins…

Purlisse Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer YouGlowGal You Glow Gal Esthetician Sarah Payne Hiatus Spa Dallas Skincare Beauty Blogger

Balancing Moisturizer has hyaluronic acid, a calming peptide, a skin-restoring peptide, vitamin E and French marine plants. It’s a great moisturizer to properly balance and hydrate your skin. I found it wasn’t hydrating enough for evening, but lightweight and lovely for daytime.

Purlisse Blue Lotus Cleansing Milk YouGlowGal You Glow Gal Esthetician Sarah Payne Hiatus Spa Dallas Skincare Beauty Blogger

I made it halfway through my bottle of Cleansing Milk before I realized I hadn’t taken any photographs. I fell hard for this gentle, milky cleanser and almost finished my first bottle! If you’re looking for a gentle cleanser to remove all your makeup thoroughly, this is it. I rarely reach for anything else as my first cleanse, especially while testing new exfoliants. Eye makeup? No problem. Seemingly basic? Maybe, but definitely a graduation from Cerave.

Purlisse Blue Lotus SPF 30 Daily Moisturizer YouGlowGal You Glow Gal Esthetician Sarah Payne Hiatus Spa Dallas Skincare Beauty Blogger

Another sensitive skin conundrum: finding your perfect SPF. While I’m personally not a fan of moisturizer and SPF combo products, many are. The texture is more on the side of an SPF and loaded with hydrating ingredients to keep skin soft and supple.

What it is: A gentle daily moisturizer with sun protection

Purlisse Blue Lotus Eye Adore Serum YouGlowGal You Glow Gal Esthetician Sarah Payne Hiatus Spa Dallas Skincare Beauty Blogger

Used as a serum layered under my eye cream, this was my second favorite product after Cleansing Milk. Loaded with Haloxyl for brightening, Matrixyl 3000 to stimulate collagen, hyaluronic acid, and French marine plants, this little guy performs well. Eye Adore claims to hydrate, depuff, brighten and fight wrinkles. If your current eye cream doesn’t seem to fit your needs try layering this serum underneath. Or, if you’re sensitive and can’t seem to find an eye cream that works, try this!
