Nidah Spa in Santa Fe

Nidah Spa in Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Nidah Spa is located within the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was a bit overwhelming trying to choose a spa to visit, there are tons of fantastic options in Santa Fe! Nidah Spa won my decision based on a few factors 1) it was freezing cold outdoors, and 2) they were inside our hotel = warmth. For my visit I scheduled a 50-minute Swedish massage and 50-minute customized facial.

Nidah is an Apache word meaning “your life”, which the spa says to enhance with their many services. Cute, right? The spa is beautifully appointed, as you walk through the entryway copper and gold colors surround and place you in a state of tranquil warmth.

Nidah Spa in Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico I arrived early to enjoy the space. After checking in I was directed to the women’s changing area where any need you could think of was available: LA Fresh makeup removal wipes, shaving cream and razors, sanitary items, Moroccanoil hair and body products, etc. Bonus: a steam room is available to use before your massage to warm the body and enhance your treatment results! Their Chadsworth & Haig Ultimate Doeskin robes are AH-mazingly luxe, incredibly warm and cozy, perfect for the chilly Santa Fe weather. Totally considered wearing it back into my room…and back to Dallas.

Pass through another doorway and you’ll find a cozy, dimly lit relaxation area with fruit infused water, an assortment of hot teas, and nuts to snack on. If you’re spending an extended amount of time in spa you can order from the hotel’s restaurant menu. I settled into a comfy chair with herbal tea and attempted to disconnect.

A short bit later my service provider, David, introduced himself and guided me through the next set of doors to begin the massage. He asked the usual: areas of focus, areas to avoid, and what aroma preferences I have. I explained to him that while I usually prefer deeper work my focus for today was relaxation, yet I still enjoy a firmer touch. He worked his magic on my neck and shoulders, and of course, I regretted was only booking a 50-minute massage.

From there I met my esthetician, Steve, for my customized Eminence facial. This was my first time experiencing Eminence. I was excited to finally find out what everyone has been raving about! I was so excited I completely forgot to take a picture of the treatment room… I’m pretty sure I audibly said Nidah Spa in Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico“Ooooohhhh” when I entered. The perfectly laid out products, the equipment glowing a blueish-purple hue… I immediately jumped into the warm bed. Steve asked for any sensitivities or allergies I experience and we got to work.

I asked to skip extractions, although they are usually included, but the facial lacked a skin analysis. A hand or foot massage wasn’t included in their 50-minute facial, but there wasn’t a moment where my skin wasn’t manipulated with Steve’s relaxing techniques. I have a hard time turning off during a facial, as my expectations are high and I’m focused on every little detail. But Steve succeeded in putting me in a state of bliss, floating out of Nidah Spa with glowing skin.
